• I'M RICHARD

A bassoonist and pianist interested in musicological research. Originally from Hong Kong and attending a traditional British boarding school, I aim to use my musical and A-Level philosophical knowledge to investigate the social and cultural linkages that music creates. PIANO

At age seven, my parents encouraged me to learn the piano. And so, my journey with it began. Since I started, I have achieved the ARSM with Distinction at age 14 and was awarded ‘Outstanding’ at the Oxford Music Festival by playing Prokofiev’s Toccata. Beyond mastering technique and playing, I have been focusing on using the piano for community outreach, utilizing it to hold workshops where I teach music to those with limited access.
